we're ready for you.The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Major Gifts
Regional Director is responsible for driving the revenue growth of
Major Gifts for a designated geographical region, and implements
strategies to cultivate strong relationships with the goal of
securing philanthropic gifts. This position provides expertise and
technical leadership and support to development teams to maximize
the return on investment for the assigned region(s) and advises the
Director of Development on goals for long-term strategy that
supports the strategic plan and annual business plan for program
growth.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive the growth of gross and net revenues for the major giving
program.
- Effectively articulate, verbally and in writing, WWP's history,
mission, vision, and programs to potential funding sources.
- Provide leadership and management to the major gifts
fundraising team members including selecting, developing, and
managing a highly functional team and ensuring high
performance.
- Ensure portfolios are properly balanced for effective moves
management. Track communications within Salesforce CRM to ensure
prioritizing individual passions through relationship based
fundraising strategies.
- Represent WWP and speak to community audiences, organizations,
and donors. Travel to meet with existing and prospective donors in
support of program objectives.
- Establish effective working relationships and work
collaboratively with WWP teammates across the organization, e.g.,
Communications, Marketing, Programs, and other Resource Development
teams, working cross channels to garner new donors.
- Evaluate the resource development fundraising program to
identify continuous improvement opportunities and efficiencies to
save donor dollars.
- Provide monthly and quarterly revenue projections and
forecasting.
- Manage overall trends in giving with support from analytics
team. Identify trends in current database with regards to
forecasting for ROI reporting.
- Communicate status of projects, findings, and trends to
director of development.

- Demonstrated ability to effectively delegate, monitor workload,
and analyze work processes and metrics.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate, coach, and educate major
gifts team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills. Demonstrated
ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities and meet
deadlines. Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize,
delegate, and ensure that deadlines are met.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and
tact.
- Demonstrated understanding of Wounded Warrior Project and its
mission, values, programs, and services, and the impact of these
programs and services on wounded warriors and their families.
- Demonstrated understanding of military service organizations
(MSOs) and veteran service organizations (VSOs).
- Demonstrated computer proficiency using Microsoft Office, e.g.,
Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
- High energy level. Self-starter; willing to take
initiative.
- Unequivocal commitment to the highest standards of personal and
business ethics and conduct.
- Mission-driven, guided by core values, and a pleasure to work
with.EXPERIENCERequirements
- Seven years of fundraising or sales experience.
- Five years in development leadership or equivalent leadership
position.
- Five years of experience working with Salesforce or similar CRM
database.
- Five years of demonstrated achievement identifying,
cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major donors.Preferences
- Five years of experience working in non-profit
organization.
- Two years of experience leading remote, geographically
dispersed teams.EDUCATIONRequirements
- Bachelor's degree. Equivalent combination of education,
experience, training, or certification may be considered in lieu of

Applicants: The estimated hiring range for this position is between
$125,798 - $157,248 annual base salary,subject to a candidate's
combination of experience, qualifications, and credentials. This
position may also be eligible for an annual performance
incentive.For New York Applicants: The estimated hiring range for
this position is between $131,040 - $163,800 annual base
salary,subject to a candidate's combination of experience,
qualifications, and credentials. This position may also be eligible
