Rank and tenure status will be determined based on education and experience, and this position will be tenure track or multi-mission track depending upon applicant interests. Specific training or experience in pediatric craniofacial surgery is required. Other preferred clinical skillsets include facial trauma, general pediatric reconstruction, facial/scalp reconstruction, and/or facial aesthetics. This new physician will join a group of plastic surgeons with a reputation of excellence in patient care working within a state-of-the-art academic medical center with excellent support and a focus on improving pediatric healthcare. UF Health has a dedicated interdisciplinary pediatric craniofacial center that is a regional referral site for children with cleft lip and palate, craniosynostosis, vascular anomalies, and other craniofacial conditions.The Division of Plastic Surgery has a long-standing commitment to trainee education, and the new surgeon will be actively involved in the integrated residency and independent fellowship training programs.Expected Salary:Salary is negotiable based on education and experience.Minimum Requirements:This position requires a medical degree; board certification or eligibility in plastic surgery. It also requires fellowship subspecialty training in pediatric craniofacial surgery unless training and/or practice has provided a robust experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient care and education and an ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also expected.Preferred Qualifications:We prefer a candidate with a track record of scholarly productivity and who is engaged with professional organizations pertinent to pediatric craniofacial surgery.Special Instructions to Applicants:Letter of interest, curriculum vitae, and three letters of recommendation and/or references required with application.Background check is required.Final candidates will be required to provide official transcript to the hiring department upon hire.
