We are looking for a committed and patient-focused Occupational Therapist for our in-house rehab program at Terrace Health & Rehab Center in Gainesville, FL.

This person will develop, recover, or maintain the daily living and work skills of people with physical, mental, or developmental conditions. You will offer effective and client-centered services that will enable people to confidently and independently carry out everyday tasks or activities..

Responsibilities of the Occupational Therapist:

• Evaluate, plan and administer treatment to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing.
• Assure all treatment is delivered in accordance with an established plan of care
• Provide clinical support and instruct patients, families, and caregivers
• Monitor patient response to treatment intervention
• Complete required forms and documentation in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations Occupational Therapist Career Advantages:

  • Work collaboratively with a supportive team of therapists and nursing staff Occupational Therapist Skills:
    • Must have a valid Occupational Therapy license in good standing
    • Long term care experience preferred
    • Proven work experience as an Occupational Therapist
    • Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities
