Job Summary and Qualifications Job Summary: This position is considered to be procedural and true PRN 1 or 2 days a week. 8, 10 or 12 hour shifts possibleThe RN is involved in the pre-procedural work-up, medication and vitals monitoring during the procedure, and monitoring during the recovery phase post procedure. The procedures performed that an RN is needed for in our department are TEE's (Transesophageal Echo), Cardioversions, and Dobutamine Stress Echo. MD's and Sonographers are present during these procedures as well. The RN will be responsible for medication and vitals during the procedure. Starting of IV's is occasionally necessary. What qualifications you will need:Sedation certificationBLS requiredACLS required within 6 months of hire dateGraduation from an accredited school of NursingRegistered Nurse DiplomaFL RN Licensure required or appropriate compact licensure.
