*Job Summary*We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting occupational therapists in providing high-quality patient care within the homecare setting. The COTA will work closely with patients to help them achieve their rehabilitation goals through therapeutic activities and interventions.*Responsibilities** Assist occupational therapists in implementing treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.* Provide direct patient care, ensuring safety and comfort during therapy sessions.* Utilize knowledge of anatomy and physiology to support effective treatment strategies.* Document patient progress and communicate updates to the occupational therapist.* Maintain an organized schedule and communication with patients.* Participate in team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary care discussions.* Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and home programs to enhance recovery.* Support patients in achieving their goals related to daily living activities, mobility, and overall function.*Experience*Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:* Previous experience in occupational health or a similar setting is preferred.* Familiarity with medical terminology related to patient care is essential.* Experience working in home health, skilled nursing facilities or inpatient environments is advantageous.* A strong understanding of anatomy and physiology as it relates to rehabilitation practices is required.* Demonstrated ability to assist patients effectively while promoting independence and dignity.We invite qualified candidates who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others through occupational therapy to apply for this rewarding position.Job Types: PRN, Contract, Per diemPay: From $30.00 per hourExpected hours: 10 30 per weekBenefits:* Flexible scheduleMedical Specialty:* Geriatrics* Home HealthSchedule:* Monday to Friday* Weekends as neededAbility to Commute:* Palm Coast, FL 32164 (Required)Work Location: In personby Jobble
