Job Description:

Position Purpose:The primary responsibility of a Hostler is backing trucks to the dock at the appropriate doors while ensuring that the truck is functioning properly to perform the route. - This position also serves as support to inbound receiving and outbound shipping. Primary Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently use a Yard Truck to move containers and trailers to different doors as needed. Ensure truck temperatures are set appropriately and operating properly to perform the route.
• Warehouse utility job duties such as stocking slots, completing putaways and transfers, transporting freight with pallet jack or forklift, selecting orders, loading orders, checking orders.
• Daily and weekly yard check to keep accurate account of containers and the rotation of containers.
• Cleaning and assisting in cleanliness of warehouse. - Other operations duties as assignedEducation:
  • HSD or equivalent preferred. Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Class A preferred.Experience:
    • 1 year similar experience preferred. 6 months prior reach truck experience preferred. -Prior pallet jack and RF experience preferred.Skills:
      • Able to drop and hook trailers. Able to lift up to 50 lbs. often and up to 80 lbs. occasionally, able to work outside for majority of their shift. -
      • Ability to read and speak English. - -The work load can vary significantly. - Associates in this role must have the flexibility to work shifts that may include long hours and have varying shift start and end times.
