Together, we can achieve great things.Our company is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor in our Jacksonville, FL facility that will play a crucial role in assisting the Warehouse Manager in overseeing a team of warehouse workers to ensure smooth operations, efficient workflow, and adherence to safety protocols.Warehouse Supervisor Responsibilities:Team Supervision: Lead and manage a team of warehouse associates, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.Task Coordination: Assign daily tasks such as picking, packing, shipping, and inventory management.Quality Control: Ensure that all warehouse activities comply with company quality standards, including packaging and handling of goods.Training: Train new team members on warehouse operations, safety guidelines, and company procedures.Safety Management: Enforce safety policies, conduct safety briefings, and ensure a safe working environment.Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, assist with inventory counts, and help resolve inventory discrepancies.Problem Solving: Address issues related to operations, equipment, or personnel and ensure they are resolved quickly.Reporting: Provide updates to warehouse manager on team performance, any operational challenges, and overall progress.Perform other duties as assigned.Warehouse Supervisor Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent.Previous experience in warehouse operations, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or leadership role.Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively motivate and develop a team.Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office applications.Knowledge of inventory control principles, warehouse safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.Forklift certification and/or other relevant certifications (desired).Warehouse Supervisor Other Requirements:Ability to work in an office & warehouse environment.Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment with varying temperatures and humidity levels.Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends as needed.Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.Comfortable working in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment.Warehouse Supervisor Benefits:401(k) & matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceAmerican Metals Supply is an equal employment opportunity employer and welcomes all qualified applicants.
