Title: Electro Mechanical Technician
Location: Jacksonville, FL
Shift: 7pm to 7am on a rotating shift 2-2-3
Compensation: $36.50 per hour + OT
Travel: None

Position Description
The Electro Mechanical Technician (EMT) performs both mechanical
and electrical maintenance duties including: pipe fitting, welding,
machining, hydraulics, instrumentation, working with sheet metal,
as well as troubleshooting, replacing, repairing, and cleaning
systems, equipment, and/or component parts utilizing industry
standards for precision maintenance.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
--- Perform mechanical troubleshooting and repairs as necessary -
pipe fitting, welding, machining, hydraulics, pneumatics, and
working with sheet metal.
--- Perform electrical and controls troubleshooting and repairs as
necessary to support continued operation of the process including
instrumentation, controls, motors, VFD's, PLC's, HMI's and basic
electrical work.
--- Special projects and/or equipment improvements
--- Participation in safety programs, TPM teams, and PM
optimization
--- Comply with all plant rules and corporate policies with regard
to business conduct.
--- Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly
work area.
--- Regular attendance on site and ability to rotate varying
shifts
--- All other job classification relative duties as assigned or
needed
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
The employee should have experience in and be able to demonstrate
the following abilities:
--- Excellent mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
capability
--- Able to demonstrate competency in precision maintenance
techniques
--- Able to identify, recommend and implement reliability and
safety improvements to equipment
--- Properly and safely use hand and shop tools and equipment
--- Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to
work with others.
--- Familiar with HMIs, PLCs, and Servos.
--- Be able to read and write mechanical and electrical work
instructions and/or blueprints
--- Able to follow written and verbal work instructions
--- Provide valid proof of authorization to work in the U.S.
COMPUTER AND SOFTWARE COMPENTENCIES
The employee must be able to:
--- Demonstrate proficiency with computers - Microsoft Office Suite
and other programs as required.
--- Must be able to log into and navigate SAP for work
notifications
--- May be required to work on control systems that run the line
(PLC, Allen Bradley)
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
The employee should have the following:
--- High School Diploma or GED equivalency
--- Ability to pass maintenance skill test
Requirements : HS Diploma/GED. Candidates must be maintenance
professionals with 2+ years industrial electrical experience
troubleshooting & repairing industrial systems. Strong
systems-level electrical experience from 120V up to 480V and PLC
programing required for Rockwell, Allen Bradley systems. You will
be fixing single & multi-phase electrical systems such as motors,
switches, starters, variable-frequency drives, input/output
controls, and some robotics on production line equipment and
systems. Candidates must have excellent input/output electrical
troubleshooting & be able to read schematics, blueprints, drawings
for maintenance/troubleshooting/repair with ability to share skills
to help others develop, excellent communication skills, and
commitment to providing a high level of detail, pride, and safety
towards system & equipment maintenance work, projects, and
programs. For the leadership position, an NCO Maintenance Leader
would be a great fit. Must pass drug test & background prior to
employment.
