team that develops logistics solutions and pricing for warehousing
and transportation opportunities. This position will provide
oversite of the solutions and proposal development which takes into
consideration the prospective client's information and our internal
costing data. This position will work closely with sales to
identify the feasibility of opportunities, be a resource on sales
calls and verify outgoing solutions documentation.ESSENTIAL DUTIES
AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage directly and indirectly the team responsible
for creating solutions, pricing, proposals, engineering support and
developing scopes of work.
- Develop solutions by taking client information and creating
process design, layout, labor model, cost structure, and optimal
pricing that is both profitable for NXTPoint and a superior choice
for the client.
- Provide analytical support for projects, new business
opportunities, and proposals for warehousing and value-add
operations.
- Support the development and standardization of modeling
techniques to support corporate strategic objectives.
- Design methods and assist operations in developing systems to
monitor the utilization of resources, current productivity, and
efficiency measurements.
- Develop and implement cost effective methods and procedures
that will maximize productivity and efficiency utilizing Lean and
Six Sigma methodology.
- Assist in the development and achievement of strategic business
process KPI's and metrics.
- Lead special projects in the operations to implement best
practices in the warehousing/ logistics industry.
- Plan lay-outs of new and existing facilities. Review and
recommend equipment provision. Prepare cost justifications as
required.
- Guide the development of Engineering standards for major
warehouse activities.
- Maintaining financial and engineering metrics that will meet or
exceed performance goals.
- Oversite of Operational improvement programs such as Lean
Initiatives, Kaizens, Continuous Improvement and Warehouse
Optimization.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an

functions.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's Degree in Industrial
Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, Finance, Business or related
discipline required. Must possess a minimum of 10 years of
experience in the logistics/supply chain industry - ideally in both
the warehousing and transportation sectors. Ideally possess at
least 5 years of experience in solutions design/pricing/engineering
within the industry. Lean/Six Sigma experience required. Green Belt
or higher certification preferred.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Critical thinking - analytical problem-solving skills with
significant amount of information, quantitative and financial
modeling skills
- Creative thinking - dealing with imperfect information and
ambiguity
- Presentation skills - ability to inform and persuade internal
and external stakeholders in relations to developed solutions.
- Demonstrate a passion for cost and service level
optimization
- Must possess strong capabilities in modeling software and
techniques, including Microsoft Excel and Access with macro level
experience
- Must have experience with facility layout tools utilizing
software such as AutoCad
- Preferred exposure to varied warehouse structures including
traditional bulk, high density, RF, pick to light, voice pick,
etc.
- Knowledge of WMS and Labor Management System
functionalityTRAVEL:Travel within the US up to 25% of the
